United Way St. Croix & Red Cedar Valleys is seeking its next Executive Director, a strategic, community-focused leader to advance our mission and strengthen local impact.
The Executive Director leads a dedicated team and works closely with the Board of Directors to grow financial resources, build strong community partnerships, and guide programs that improve lives throughout our six-county area. This role oversees fundraising and resource development efforts, including the annual campaign, donor relationships, grants, and leadership giving.
As the public face of United Way locally, the Executive Director builds collaborative relationships with donors, businesses, labor, government, nonprofits, and civic leaders to address community needs and inspire shared action. The position also provides leadership in community impact—evaluating funded programs, supporting agency partnerships, and helping shape long-term strategies to improve health, education, and financial stability.
This role manages staff, finances, and daily operations, ensuring accountability, strong fiscal stewardship, and alignment with United Way's mission and values.

211 Community Resource Specialist (CRS)
Job Opening: 211 Community Resource Specialist
Location: Hudson or Menomonie, WI (Hybrid: in-office and remote)
Salary: $20/hour
Employment Type: Part-Time, Exempt (20 hours/week)
United Way St. Croix and Red Cedar Valleys is seeking a dedicated 211 Community Resource Specialist to provide critical support to our 211 program. The role connects individuals and professionals to community resources through calls, chats, texts, and emails, helping local families access the services they need.
The 211 Community Resource Specialists works with a statewide network of call centers to provide high-quality, timely referrals and support. This position also assists with data management, follow-ups, quality assurance, and community outreach initiatives.
Ideal candidates bring:
- Experience in human services or customer service
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to connecting people with resources
- Proficiency with database management and data entry
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
