UW Valleys and Marketplace Foods to Host Winter Wear Open House in Menomonie
UW Valleys and Marketplace Foods are partnering to host the Winter Wear Open House on Saturday, November 7, and Saturday, November 14, at Marketplace Foods in Menomonie.
Community members are invited to stop by between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to browse and select free winter clothing. Available items include coats, hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, and other winter essentials.

Volunteer Opportunities
UW Valleys is looking for volunteers to help prepare for and support the Winter Wear Open House. Opportunities are available for both setup and distribution days.
Setup Volunteers
- Help sort, organize, and prepare donated winter clothing ahead of the event.
- Monday, November 2: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. or noon to 3 p.m.
- Tuesday, November 3: 10 a.m. to noon, noon to 2 p.m., or 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Distribution Volunteers
Help welcome families, assist with check-in and checkout, keep clothing organized, and restock items throughout the event.
- Saturday, November 7: 9 a.m. to noon or noon to 3 p.m.
- Saturday, November 14: 9:30 a.m. to noon or noon to 3 p.m.
Volunteers will meet inside Marketplace Foods in the former bank space. Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your scheduled shift.
