Advancing the Common Good in Western Wisconsin

United Way St. Croix and Red Cedar Valleys (UW Valleys) is committed to creating opportunities for all by supporting the building blocks of a good quality of life: education, financial stability, and health. We partner with local businesses, individuals, and nonprofits to address complex community challenges across Burnett, Dunn, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, and St. Croix counties.

Through our annual workplace campaign and community impact initiatives, we raise and invest funds where they’re needed most—supporting local nonprofits and addressing urgent needs throughout the region.

Our community impact work includes:

  • 211 – A free, confidential information and referral service that connects people with local resources, 24/7.
  • John Coughlin Hope Fund – Emergency financial assistance for individuals and families facing urgent needs when no other support is available.
  • UW Valleys Diaper Bank – Distributing diapers and wipes to families with young children to ease the burden of diaper need.
  • Give Big Valleys – Our region-wide day of giving, empowering nonprofits to share their missions, connect with donors, and raise critical funds.
  • Mental Health First Aid – Training that equips community members with the tools to recognize and respond to mental health challenges.

Beyond our ongoing initiatives, UW Valleys remains responsive to emerging issues and evolving community needs. We’re committed to identifying service gaps and mobilizing resources to create lasting, positive change.
